It’s a beautiful morning, the birds are chirping, the air is cold, and our sleeping beauty Sanvi is sleeping so peacefully, she is getting late but she has no idea. She says “pran jaaye par neend na jaaye” this girl can sleep in the middle of a hurricane.
And she is sleep deprived too. Complicated yeah I know.
As she was sleeping peacefully, she was awaked by the knocking of her bedroom door. she dragged her body and opened the door. And saw her mom holding a ladle ready to beat the shit out of her. Seeing her mom Sanvi took multiple steps back raising her hands up “Ma, aapne to uth te hi violence choose kar liya”
Hearing her say this Swara, her mother said angrily “Sana! aaj baba ne bola tha na ki jaldi uthna, tum kyun baat nhi maanti ho”,
“Maa please thoda, volume niche kar lete to maza hi aajata, Mujhe aache se jaagne mai Ek ghanta lagta hai” Sanvi being Sanvi whined holding her head as it was paining.
Her mother hit her arm as said “Pagal ladki jaldi se ready ho tujhe pata hai na Aaj tere baba or dadu ke sath waha jana hai”, hearing this Sana made a annoyed face and muttered “Inko Saturday ko bhi chain nhi hai” making a crying face.
“Chal mera bacha jaldi se tayiyar hoja, bhot aache, shabash” Swara pestered her daughter with sweet words to make her hurry and pushed her in the bathroom.
And then her mother slammed the bathroom shut, then from inside Sanvi screamed “I hate you woman”, Swara chuckled at her daughter’s dramatics replied “I love you too Mera Bacha”. Shaking her head she headed downstairs, inside the bathroom Sanvi stood brushing her teeth “Ye kaha kaha fassa dete ho Shiv ji, wo bhi jis din mujhe sona hota hai.
After taking a shower Sanvi got ready in a beautiful black Color Suit, she was looking eternal, She applied kajal in her eyes making them look enchanting. After taking a good look of herself she thought “kitni sundr dekh rahi hu mai, kahi nazar na lag jaye” taking the evil eyes off her herself. Rounding her hands around her own head and then folded her fingers placing them on her forehead.
What they say ‘Self love is important’.
Then she went downstairs, as today was Saturday it meant it’s her holiday, for everyone it was Sunday but for her it was Saturday. The only day she got enough sleep after working her as off in the Café.
That Café is her life, she started that Café with her own saving it was everyone’s dream at some point to have Café of their own maybe with the books too. I don’t know about everyone but it was her dream and everyone thought it was childish having small dreams.
The meaning of dreams isn’t always about the big ones. It’s about what it means to a person. In their head what they want, what they crave even if it’s small, silly, childish or maybe even something which people would called unattainable.
Everyone has their own dreams some have the guts to achieve them and some just outrun it, for some they don’t mean as much as they once upon a time. So they let it go. She didn’t no matter what people said about her.
About her being a business man’s daughter and still wanting such a small thing. She didn’t let it stop her she built everything on her own she spent her time blood sweat and tears on the way of achieving it.
And now she can finally say that she did it but there’s still more as you achieve one thing you start to crave for some more things. Right now she working on a project of a restaurant of her own, nobody knows about it because she knows if she tells them they’ll try to help her.
It isn’t about her being independent and refusing her family’s help. It’s about her doing her best without leaning on someone for their help she wants to do things on her own to whatever limit she can.
So she has the right to be a little cranky about not getting enough sleep. As she came down and entered the living room she saw everyone was waiting for her. Oh did I forget to tell you where they are going, let me tell you now. They are going on a brunch (very fancy word if you ask me).
Her family and her grandfather’s best friend’s family, they recently reconnected again. After many years and it’s the third time may be they and her family was going to eat together.
Now she doesn’t know if it’s second or third time because she was not present on any of them. So this was the first time she was going to meet them. She heard everyone is good and their whole is cool.
As soon as she entered the living room Ishaan her older brother came towards her and lightly hit her in the head and said while grinning widely “Uth gyi jaanwar”, Sanvi glared at him hearing what he said.
“Mar dungi jaan se” she muttered but Ishaan heard what she said “Mummy dekho apne bade bhai se ye ese baat karti hai” he said dramatically.
“Sanaa” Swara her mother said in a warning tone, Sanvi frowned and said frustratingly “Aap logo ko subha se kya pareshani hai mujhse, Papa dekh lo bhai mujhe pareshan kar rahe hai”. Her sleep got disturbed so I understand her too much. It normally takes her 1 hour to finally be fully awake.
“Kyu pareshaan kar rahe ho meri bachi ko” her dad said taking Sanvi’s side, bringing a light smile on her face and seeing this her brother and mother too smiled because lately they didn’t see her smile too much either she was always stressed or busy and silent. Seeing that smile warmed them, even if it was a small one but it still made them feel accomplished.
Bring a smile on her face was hard these days, so her brother tried tricks to make her smile and it worked sometimes, it was hard for him to see his sister grow up so fast, it was like yesterday he was holding her hand tightly as she was taking her first steps scared that what if she fell and got hurt.
And in a snap now she is all grown up and taking her decisions, hiding her problems, it was hard to say the less.
But he accepted it as long as he was there for her every time, they are like normal siblings but have a very unique bond, he is her shield and she is his heart. They always have each other as their top priority no matter what they come first for both of them. Sanvi can blindly take a step ahead and her brother would always protect and be with her like a shadow.
Soon everyone entered the living room and everyone was ready to go her grandparents, her aunt and uncle and her cousins, Ruhi and Kabir.“Chalen guys?” Kabir said in excitement making Sanvi frown and she looked at her brother to see that he looking at her controlling his laugher.
She got more confused after seeing her brother act like that she thought ‘am I missing something?’ Ishaan came and stood beside Sanvi and whispered in her ears “Baad mein bataunga, tu bas dekh isko aaj”, hearing that she raised a eyebrow now interested and looking forward to see what her brother is talking about.Soon everyone sat in the cars and headed towards the Raghuwanshi’s mansion.
